Delegates meeting & information
The annual delegates meeting will take place Sunday, August 18th from 12-3pm.
The delegates meeting is an important and exciting part of our annual conference! This is is the space where decisions and plans are made for the upcoming year.
As graduate-worker organizing continues to thrive, at this years' delegates meeting we look at strategies to strengthen our coalition and engage in solidarity-work throughout the year.
We ask you to consider what kinds of tools and resources the Coalition of Graduate Employee Unions can provide locals throughout the year, and what kind of infrastructure we need to build a coalition that effectively engages graduate-workers across North America and internationally.
How might a strong coalition of grad-employee unions support your local?
What are the most effective forms of support an organized coalition can provide those looking to organize?
Are there key movements CGEU should take a definitive position on?
Check out the 2018 resolutions here.
We are now accepting resolutions for #CGEU2019!
Resolutions can be submitted anytime up to the meeting on August 18th, however submitting early allows us to post them on the website and get them printed (the printing cutoff is August 11th at 5pm).
All who are attending are welcome to submit resolutions.
However, a resolution must be moved and seconded by a voting delegate at the meeting. All graduate workers are able to attend the delegates meeting. If you are not sure whether you are a voting delegate or not, please email email@example.com.
